About Webfax Live

Webfax Live broadcasts classic television and test cards as a live stream, shown on a period television set, with a chat room beside it so viewers can watch together and talk about what is on.

Anyone can watch. The stream needs no account, no app and no payment — open the site while a broadcast is running and it plays.

What an account is for

An account is optional, and adds three things:

• The live chat. Messages are shown next to the picture during a broadcast, under a chat name of your choosing.
• An email when a broadcast starts, if you ask for one. Every alert carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
• The subscribers area, holding links and material for people who support the station.

Signing in with Google

You may create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with an existing Google account. The second is offered only so that you do not have to invent and remember another password.

If you choose it, we receive your name and email address from Google and nothing else. We use them to create your account and to identify you when you return. We never post anything, read anything, or ask for any further access to that account, and we do not sell or share what we receive.

You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time from your profile page, without asking us. See the privacy policy for the detail of what is stored and for how long.

Who runs it

Webfax Live is a small, independent station run by an enthusiast rather than a company. Questions, problems and requests to be forgotten all go to privacy@webfax.live.
